Editorial Standards & Code of Ethics
Accuracy & Verification
Every story is fact-checked against at least two independent sources before publication. Breaking news is clearly labeled and updated as new information is confirmed. We never publish unverified rumors or speculation as fact.
Independence & Impartiality
WSG News operates free from political, corporate, or advertiser influence. Our editorial team makes all publishing decisions independently of advertising or sponsorship relationships. Sponsored or paid content is always clearly disclosed.
Corrections Policy
We are committed to transparency about errors. If a published article contains a factual inaccuracy, we correct it promptly and append a dated correction notice at the bottom of the article. Readers can report errors at any time via our contact page.
Sourcing & Attribution
All sources are attributed by name whenever possible. When sources require anonymity, we explain why and describe their position or authority to know the information. We never use fabricated quotes or composite sources.
Conflict of Interest
Journalists and editors must disclose any personal, financial, or political interests that could influence their reporting. Staff with a conflict of interest on a story are reassigned to maintain editorial integrity.
Diversity of Perspectives
We actively seek diverse viewpoints across political, cultural, and geographic lines. Our 12-language coverage reflects our commitment to serving global communities with relevant, localized reporting.
Source Transparency Policy
WSG News aggregates and produces content from a network of verified, trusted, and unverified sources. Every source is clearly rated and displayed on each article so readers can evaluate the credibility of the information they read.
Established, well-known news organizations with a track record of accurate reporting and editorial standards.
Sources that have consistently demonstrated reliability over time but may not yet meet full verification criteria.
Newer or smaller sources whose reliability is still being evaluated. Content is published with caution.
Sources under review for accuracy or ethics concerns. Content from suspended sources is withheld pending review.
Our complete directory of news sources is publicly available at /sources. We do not accept payment for source ratings, and ratings are reviewed quarterly.
